Dr. Daniel Seyfried studied physics at the University of Ulm. He then was a research associate with the Department for High-Frequency Technology at Technische Universität (TU) Braunschweig, where he received his doctorate in electrical engineering with a focus on radar technology.

Daniel started his career in intellectual property law in 2015 at the Frankfurt office of the US law firm Jones Day. There he also qualified as a patent attorney. Further stations of him were the patent litigation chamber of the Mannheim Regional Court as well as the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich.

Since 2019, Dr. Seyfried has been providing his clients the full range of patent attorney services from his own firm. As early as 1999, with the advent of the "new economy" and while still in school, he founded a company in the field of software development.

Daniel advises his clients comprehensively on all aspects of patents, trademarks and designs.

Due to his scientific and technical background as well as his long-standing experience in software development, Daniel's main practice areas in patent matters are mechanics, electronics and sensor technology as well as computer-implemented inventions (so-called "software patents").

Dr. Seyfried represents his clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court, the European Patent Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Unified Patent Court as well as in patent nullity appeal proceedings before the German Federal Court of Justice.
